We’re getting together to record a live album and would love you guys to be part of the sound. There’s a whole bunch of new songs we’ve written, so we’ll pray, teach the songs and then worship together.  It’s gonna be a great night.

Yep that’s right unfortunately we’ve had to cancel Breathe this month! But don’t despair it will be back on for July 9th! We had wanted to do a big community BBQ and World Cup showing special, but it just hasn’t come together this time.

So what’s the plan?

Well, a few of our team have just got back from 2 weeks mission in Uganda which was awesome! Seeing people healed, delivered and come to know Jesus. Getting to hang out with the poorest of the poor…tough but an amazing privilage.

What’s does this have to do with the World Cup? Well, we see a real opportunity for mission right here in the UK. Mission doesn’t just happen in far off places, it’s for your town and street, amongst your mates in your neighbourhood!

Jesus loved to party! We want to encourage all you guys to get stuck in on Friday 18th! The World Cup is a great opportunity to shine your light. So find out if your church is showing a match and take your mates…or put on a BBQ yourself and offer free prayer in half time…who knows what could kick off! Excuse the pun.

Sorry for the late notice! We’re going to miss you guys, but we really look forward to seeing you in July.

So here is a brand new song for you guys! Written in the last couple of weeks it’s all about hope. Sometimes when you set out on a journey with Jesus things don’t work out quite how you might have expected them to. You may have a great big bag of plans but God has done or achieved something in a totally different way than you thought.

The bible talks about “…hope deferred making the heart sick”. Sometimes our hope is misplaced, when we give our personal beliefs too much room and weight in our life our hope can switch from being in Jesus to being in an idea. The thing is…stuff doesn’t always go as we’ve planned it!  This song tries to express what happens when our disappointments meet the surprising reality of Jesus.

I’ve got a real soft spot for Thomas, the guy who had invested so much of his heart in following Jesus, even willing to return to a village with Jesus where they narrowly escaped with their lives.  The level of reticence to believe matched only by the brokenness of a heart poured out, when everything had seemed to just end in death.  But then, Jesus walks in the room and in a moment turns it all around.  Nothing but the person of Jesus could’ve rekindled the hope in Thomas’ heart.  I think it can be the same for us.  When our Babelistic, man-centred, churchmanship disappoints, let’s just grab hold of the person of Jesus, and be kids again, full of hopes, full of dreams.

In 2009 we looked at what it’s like when Gods kingdom invades our reality. This year we’re looking at the source, the don, the big cheese, head honcho, the beginning and the end! This year we are focussing on The King! Who He is, what He’s like and how that changes and transforms everyone who meets Him.

So this blog is all about us routing through the craziness both online and off, finding things that we hope will inspire YOU.

I love to get inspired! When something inspires me it often goes round and round in my head and I have a massive urge to send it to as many other people I think will love it to. I design and create in my job everyday, so I always make sure I start off my morning by checking out some new, fresh, crazy design that blows my thinking! It helps me be more creative, grows my ideas and pretty much makes work way more fun.

God made us with a personality and emotions, we’ve all got likes and dislikes, hobbies and interests, stuff that moves us and makes us tick. To stimulate and grow all that…we need inspration! Our first Breathe event of 2010 and it was great to start off a new year with so many of the Breathe crowd back in force! This month we were looking at “Putting God First” with Lucy Smith bringing the nuggets of wisdom to get our teeth into.

For some of you, your new year might have started really well. The birds were singing, angels with harps have serenaded you to sleep on a nightly basis, and bars of dairy milk have floated from the sky into the very palm of your outstretched hand. Or you might have had a really naff start to 2010!
